The patterns that I draw often take days to complete. I will
sit with my sketchbook at times of silence and draw marks
until my hand hurts. Although tedious, I find serenity in such
diligence. I like to believe that these psychedelic forms take
on a life of their own and reflect my innermost thoughts and
emotions, which can’t be depicted in any other way. There is
something beautiful about repetition. Each piece begins with
a single line or shape that compels me to continue. Eventually,
that single shape multiplies and transforms into something
bigger--the same way the collection of every little thing
makes up the earth.
